How to Play

Rome has sent its Dog Legion to conquer Egypt! Place cat towers beside the road to stop the dogs reaching the end. Every dog that escapes costs you lives.

• 🐾 Tap a cat in the shop, then tap (or drag & lift) on the map to place it. Feluccas go on water.
• ▶ Start each round with the play button. Press it again during a round to fast-forward (1x / 2x / 3x).
• ⬆️ Tap a placed cat to upgrade it. Each cat has two paths of 4 upgrades — but only one path can go past tier 2.
• 🛡️ Dogs wear layers of armour: pop one and a weaker dog jumps out.
• 🖤 Shadow Hounds ignore explosions, ⚪ Frost Samoyeds can't be buried, ⚙️ Iron Mastiffs block sharp attacks.
• 🕵️ Spy dogs (dashed outline) are invisible to most cats. Look for upgrades that see Spy dogs (like the Spear Hunter's Night Kohl, the Felucca's Lookout Mast or the Temple's Eye of Ra), Shadow Cats, or team a Priestess with a Falcon.
• ✚ Medicus dogs heal their armour back if you don't finish them quickly.
• 🦅 Aquilifers carry the eagle standard and make nearby dogs faster.
• 🐢 The Testudo: dogs lock shields into a tortoise. Hits from the front do half damage! Hit it from the side or behind, or use bombs and magic. Later come Siege Towers, the Chariot of Mars… and the Dog Emperor himself.
• 🔗 Cat synergies: some cats work as a team when placed close together. Archer + Spear Hunter, Pot Bomber + Catapult, Honey + Sandstorm, Priestess + Falcon, Shadow Cat + Khopesh, Scarab + Pharaoh, Felucca + Granary. A gold link line shows while you place a cat, and teamed cats wear a 🔗 badge.
• 🌊 Map hazards: from round 8 the map sometimes joins in, and each map has its own. Some help you: the Blessing of Ra (faster cats), a hippo blocking the road, a scarab swarm that pays gold, a cool north wind (arrows, spears and falcons reach further), and on the Road, temple bells (your hero's ability recharges sooner). Some hurt: a sandstorm hides dogs, a mirage conjures fake dogs, scorching heat slows cats out of the shade (palms or water), crocodiles stop Feluccas, Roman sappers tunnel dogs to the halfway point, and Roman reinforcements march in. The Nile flood slows dogs by the water and leaves mud for the next round. Turn hazards off in Settings.
• 👀 Between rounds, the strip at the top shows which dogs are coming next.
• 🐪 Granaries send camel caravans of grain to market. Each one pays out when it leaves the map, and after a Nile flood the muddy fields make every harvest worth 50% more. A Golden Scarab sometimes zig-zags past. It's too quick to grab, so tap the ground just ahead of it to drop a reed basket and trap it (you get 2 baskets).
• 👑 The Road to Cleocatra: battle across every map in turn. Each map has a wave target to unlock the next one; keep going past it to bank more gold for your next map (Granaries bank their gold too). Fall short? Retry, or replay an earlier map to bank more. New hero cats join every five maps (one on the field at a time; they level up as you survive). Survive the 40-wave final stand in Alexandria to save Cleocatra!
• 💾 The game saves automatically between rounds. Use Install (or Add to Home Screen) to play it like an app.
• ⌨️ Keys: Space start/fast-forward, 1-0, Q-R pick cats, , . upgrade paths, Esc cancel/pause.
